Working Conditions
Our report on labour conditions among SFU's cleaning and food services staff is out now!
Comparing SFU's contract workers to UVic and UBC
Food service workers and cleaners at SFU, UBC, and uVic are all unionized, but the difference is at SFU, these workers are contracted out but UBC and uVic, they are employed directly by the university. When you look at the collective agreements that govern working conditions, you can see that SFU is saving a lot of money off the backs of these workers.
